Distinguished Leadership in Practice
The North Carolina Principals & Assistant Principals' Association (NCPAPA) is now accepting applications for 2021-2022 Distinguished Leadership in Practice (DLP) cohort. The application period runs through April 30th with applicants being selected and notified by May 14, 2021. All applicants must have approval by their superintendent, be committed to professional growth, and committed to participating fully in all DLP activities.
DLP, a year-long leadership development program, is aligned to the North Carolina School Executive standards and competencies and is delivered through a series of six (one every other month) 1 ½ day face-to-face sessions, each followed by on-line activities. We are planning on offering the program in DLP’s traditional manner, however we will be monitoring COVID trends to ensure safety. A more detailed description can be found in the online application found here.
We are planning on hosting the program in Chapel Hill. Lodging and program costs will be covered through funding provided by the North Carolina Alliance for School Leadership Development. This opportunity is available for any practicing principal who is committed to professional growth and who commits to participating fully in all DLP activities.
