Practitioners Network
Practitioners Network Program Description
Thanks to the support of the State Employees Credit Union Foundation (SECU) and our partners at the NC Department of Public Instruction, NCPAPA and NCASLD are pleased to have formed a number of principal learning networks across the state to provide focused on-the-job timely support to practicing school principals.

Recent studies show that principals learn best when they collaborate with and learn from their fellow principals who are dealing with the same challenges. With this in mind, the Practitioners Network launched in May, 2021 targeting three main focus areas:

-
Leadership for instructional success focused on raising achievement in the areas of reading and math literacy.
-
Leadership for equity focused on equitable instructional access and high expectations for every student while reducing and eliminating disparities in outcomes of student success.
-
Leadership for social and emotional well-being focused on creating an educational environment in which all students, their family members, and school staff can thrive.
Multiple networks will be established grouped by school grade levels and facilitated by peer mentors who will engage participants in discussions specifically designed to improve leadership for students’ success. Network participants will also benefit from discussions of presentations and resources in the three focus areas that will provide key improvement strategies for applying directly to their schools.
